90 Days

I’m about to embark on a personal quest to focus on the mind, body, & soul.  The following diagram outlines 9 topics of interest:  which I will be devoting my free time to. They are: Sleep, Diet, Exercise, Create, Learn, Articulate, Laugh, Give, and Meditate; using the Mind, Body, Soul concept.    I am choosing 90 days because it seems to be the magic number of days that’s needed in order to ingrain something into making it habit.  That’s probably why the armed forces have 3 months of basic training- right?
Because I will be “focusing” I will be isolating myself from social activities as much as possible- this means no more drinking, social activities and especially Salsa dancing.  Ya.  For those of you Salsesros , who know me- that’s 3 months of no more Salsa. Why? because I am going to make it a priority to get sleep; which is hard to do for most Salseros.
