Something out of nothing...
I'm someone who always thought that going through a personal transformation was supposed to be just that: Personal. I would have never open up the way you have on this blog and risk the world see my wounded places, weaknesses and fears... You however, have shown me differently. Your blog has helped me feel less isolated, less awkward, less adrift. Not sure how it all will work out for me yet, but I know that the key component I am missing is the Creative process. Allowing my creativity to flow and take over without attachment to the end result is the freedom I need to experience for myself. So I don't know exactly what is it that I would have made out of the lumber -metaphorically speaking-, because the fear of failing has kept me from even trying... The feeling of ending empty handed is so painful, that it has kept me from allowing myself to believe that I can create again. In reality though, we can’t help but to create. I think I now know the difference between creating consciously vs. creating unconsciously. I owe it to myself to try again. And try with excitement and joyous abandonment :-)

[...] So… in one of my earlier posts I started talking about creation and how it’s important to me. So I wound up digging up some odd pieces of lumber i had left from previous projects and took it upon myself to create something out of it. Remember? I asked what would you have made out of them?
Hey Miko,

Thanks for posting this. As we have discussed, staying strong is very important. Since I was brought back down to reality with my most recent lady friend, I have had to take some time to step back away from the situation and see things more clearly. This has given me strength, and yet, I have not been without my struggles either. Since then I have seen this girl 2 times out and about and it is admittedly getting a bit easier, but not by much so far. I keep my space, and yet she approaches me. Part of me wants to reach out to her, but I don't. More strength. Knowing what caused the disintegration of everything, I know this is the way to go. I keep asking myself, "what if I am seen as nothing but being bitter?" I have run that question through my head several times. I am not sure I have an answer for it, but what I do know is this: I have to believe in my reasoning and my purpose for why I am taking this action. I cannot second guess it, but yet, I need to keep on the path I have set, believing that it will bring me positive results. I may be out and about, but by exerting my space and independence, only good can result down the road.

Well...yes I think we have all been in that place before...and it is a time to reflect on things and realize the importance of the many experiences we have encountered...face fears and..yes be strong but not stupid....What I mean is...some things in life are meant to be, and some not....how do you tell the difference...by the feelings you get. To truly live life is to feel life in all its aspects, pain, joy, fear and love. If you find yourself in a situation in which you are able to feel all those emotions...rejoice...for you are living. Be that person who goes out on a limb to see the other person smile, make someone feel like they are the most important person in the world...make some one feel loved ans be loved in return... When you think about it, we are here for a pretty short amount of "useful years" make the most of them...dont hide, dont hurt just live! If this friend of yours left you..having her reasons, did you cause the pain? Why would you cause another human being pain? Did you give each day all that she is worth to be given to? Were you thankful to have that person in your life? Did you go out of your way to return each smile she gave to you? Did you bestow upon her all things she did to you? If you answered no to any of these questions...then even I know why she left. Ever person that comes into your life bears a gift for you...when you except that gift, it is them your turn to return that gift...this repeated cycle keeps all of us fulfilled and willing to keep giving. However, if you just take and not return...it leaves a person feeling foolish for giving so much and empty inside. .....I wish you luck in your quest to find equilibrium within your self....just dont let life pass you by in the mean time....love and friendship are precious things never to be wasted of taken for granted.

Mindfulness
"Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you're mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad.

Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience."

[...] What it takes to live to be 100 years old- Think you have what it takes to make it to 100+ years old? This presentation by Dan Buettner, examines similiaraties that centurians, from various regions of the world, have in common. According to Dan, it comes down to these four factors: move naturally, right outlook, eat wisely, connect. Those factors are presented visually as a pyramid around 17:59, with “Connect” making up the foundation. How would you compare Dan’s model to the Mind, Body Soul concept?
Here are some very good books on tranformation, I know because they really helped me with mine.
Dr Wayn Dyer has written extensivly on this subject. Infact he has a book called,"Transformation." Also well written and easy to get ahold of is,"7 Habits of Highly Effective People." By Stephan Covey.
